Jewish authors are facing real obstacles in publishing right now, it's becoming harder to get a book deal, and Jewish characters and stories are being pushed out of the industry, a trend tied to the antisemitism we've all seen rising in recent years. On Monday, October 19th, the Sisterhood is hosting An Evening of Conversation: Jewish Voices in Today's Publishing World, so that we as a community can hear directly what's happening and talk about what we can do. Our speakers will be Esther Levy-Chehebar, author of Sisters of Fortune, and Naomi Firestone-Teeter, CEO of the Jewish Book Council.
